TypeTick privacy policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
TypeTick is a timer app developed by Davide Agostini. This policy explains what data the app uses and where it goes.
In short
TypeTick does not connect to the internet. The developer does not collect, receive or see any of your data. There are no accounts, ads, usage analytics or tracking.
Data you save in the app
Your recent and favorite timers (duration, name, color), the running timer and your settings are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send them to anyone.
If Android backup is turned on, this data may be copied into your Google account backup, as for other apps. The backup is handled and encrypted by Google; the developer has no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings.
Permissions
- Notifications: to show the running timer and tell you when it reaches zero.
- Display over other apps: for the small floating window with the time left. You turn it on; the app does not read or record what other apps show.
- Exact alarms, run at startup, foreground service, vibration, full screen: so the timer rings on time even with the screen off, in battery saver or after the phone restarts.
Sharing and reviews
"Share TypeTick" opens Android's share sheet with a short text and the Play Store link: you choose whether and with whom to share it. "Rate TypeTick" opens the app's Play Store page. In both cases TypeTick sends nothing.
Children
TypeTick is not specifically directed at children and collects no one's data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
